LEADERSHIP

TEAM

We are a passionate group of youth from across Marin that are interested in creating real change in our communities now.

WHO WE ARE.

We are youth between the ages of 12-25 who want to effect real change in our communities. We believe in a more equitable and just juvenile justice system, equity for BiPoc students across the country and the power of restorative trauma-informed practices and advocacy to help us achieve these goals. Join us!

PEER TEAM.

A Peer Team is a group of youth volunteers who have been trained in “motivational interviewing.” In these trainings, they will learn how to ask questions of a respondent that are non-judgemental or confrontational to ensure that the communal support of our youth going through the program is the utmost priority. Peer Team members ask a variety of questions to the respondent beyond details pertaining to the specific incident that brought them to be referred to Peer Solutions. Holistic questions the Peer Team is encouraged to ask the respondent include those involving social, household, school, strengths, and extracurriculars.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP.

The leadership team has volunteers with all different amounts of experience as well as current and previous respondents. Leadership also includes the program directors and members of the advisory board who they make decisions alongside with. It is important to hear perspectives from all backgrounds when making decisions for a program that has such a wide impact on so many people. They have the invaluable power of perspective and innovation that is fundamental to the running of and improving our program.
